If you think the AT&T Byron Nelson is just about golf, you are in for some fun surprises. I recently learned a little bit more about what all the tournament has to offer. In addition to the professional golf, there will be live entertainment at night, food and drinks all over the place, and even a KidsZone for kids who may not be that interested in watching the game.
The main live entertainment will take place in the Pavilion. On Thursday night DJ S.O.U.L. Jah will perform. On Friday night, Texas singer-songwriter Hudson Moore will entertain the audience. On Saturday night, the Limelight Band will perform. Also, this year, for the first time, there will be a concert on Sunday night, which will feature Grammy- nominated country artist David Nail. This performance will be presented in partnership with the Ryan Palmer Foundation.
As I mentioned earlier, there is also a KidsZone at the AT&T Byron Nelson, which is probably the most kid-friendly tournament around. In fact, the Nelson is so kid-friendly that ages 17 and younger get free admission to the tournament. Activities in the KidsZone include: bounce houses, a miniature putt-putt course, an Xbox, arts and crafts, and even photo opportunities with the Dallas Mavericks mascot. One final reason to visit the KidsZone is the fact that it is air conditioned.
So come on to the AT&T Byron Nelson! Bring your kids! Rain or shine, everyone is sure to have a great time.
