Dallas, Texas, Sept. 10, 2015 – William B. McClung has been elected president of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, the nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming kids’ lives since 1920. He is the 96th president of the organization, which owns and operates Momentous Institute and hosts the AT&T Byron Nelson. The annual PGA TOUR event is Momentous Institute’s primary fundraiser.
“For nearly a century, Salesmanship Club has been dedicated to helping children in our community,” McClung said. “Through Momentous Institute’s mental health and education services, we have seen countless lives transformed, and I am honored and humbled to lead the Club this year as we continue those efforts.”
McClung, a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas since 1990, is executive vice president at Cushman & Wakefield. In his 25 years with the Club, he has served in a number of leadership positions, most recently as Chair of the Momentous Institute Board, as well as the Club’s Board of Directors and Membership Committee, Momentous Institute’s Planning, Development & Evaluation Committee and Scholarship Committee.
In addition to McClung, other officers elected include first vice president William H. Flaherty, Rosewood Property Company; second vice president Charles R. Biddle, Holman, Robertson, Eldridge P.C.; secretary Joseph Merritt, Merritt Capital Partners, Ltd.; and treasurer James W. Esquivel, Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. Guy Kerr, Locke Lord was appointed Chair of the Momentous Institute Board and Patton Chapman, Tecon Realty was appointed Chair of the Salesmanship Club Charitable Golf of Dallas Board for a second year.
