The AT&T Byron Nelson launches fun, innovative ways to keep fans connected.

IRVING, Texas, April 28, 2015 – Capture, tweet, repeat! The AT&T Byron Nelson is bringing its A-game to its social media efforts this year, with fun, innovative ways that will keep fans shouting their excitement from the course, even while they’re hushed on the green.


With #attbyronnelson as the official hashtag for the tournament, the AT&T Byron Nelson Social Media Team, sponsored by the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be front and center with free giveaways, daily contests and much more.


By keeping up on social media with the AT&T Byron Nelson, fans will have access to behind-the-scenes content, including player quotes from the press room and leaderboard updates, as well as opportunities to find swag bags hidden around the course and to enter fun contests, like the daily selection of a VIT (Very Important Tweeter). Each day at 2 p.m., one VIT (selected from fans who use #attbyronnelson and #VisitIrving) will win upgraded tickets. (One winner per household.)


Unique photo ops abound at this year’s tournament, including two larger-than-life golf balls, branded with the AT&T Byron Nelson logo, and a 12-foot bright orange Google pin, branded “Irving, Texas style.” Spectators can take a picture with the pin, tweet the photo using the #VisitIrving and take home a free print, available instantly in the Pavilion.


Momentous Institute, beneficiary of the AT&T Byron Nelson, will have selfie stations around the course, where fans can take their pictures with life-size cutouts of PGA TOUR stars Jordan Spieth and Dustin Johnson. Fans who share the photos on social media and tag Momentous Institute (@momentous on Twitter; @momentousinstitute on Facebook and Instagram) could win upgraded tickets. At the Momentous Institute booth at the entrance of Champions Way, fans who like or follow Momentous Institute on social media can play Plinko for a chance to win great prizes, including upgraded tickets, T-shirts, sunglasses and more.
