As a fantastic 2013 season on the PGA TOUR comes to a close and the new “wraparound schedule” on the PGA TOUR starts this week, planning for the HP Byron Nelson Championship is well underway. Just like all of you, we believe that the golf season truly never stops!
I’d like to introduce you to the HP Byron Nelson Championship blog. Tim Gamso, a Salesmanship Club member, and I will be posting new unique and topical information each week. We will give you “behind the scenes” access to all things related to the PGA TOUR. We will present a perspective that you won’t find in your daily newspaper or typical golf sites. We’ll talk about what it takes to put on a professional golf tournament, how the field of professionals is determined, the roles of so many different people, and give you a provocative look under the tent at the entire operation.
We hope that you will visit the blog each week and we look forward to celebrating our annual rite of spring with everyone in North Texas, May 12-18.
