
Created in 2008, the Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Awards recognize the achievements of junior golfers around the world. Young athletes who
distinguish themselves with a high level of junior tournament play as well as excellence in academics, a commitment to community service and exceptional character will be selected.
The inaugural year, one of the recipients was Dallas native Cody Gribble. Below is a recap of how Cody’s career has progressed since receiving the award in May 2008.
-2008 and 2009 Texas UIL Class 4A state individual champion
-Led Highland Park High School to two Texas UIL State Championships
-Won a NCAA National Championship playing for the University of Texas in 2012
-Two-time All American at the University of Texas
-Played the Web.com Tour and PGA TOUR Latinamerica in 2014
-Played the 2015-2016 season on the Web.com TOUR finishing 40th securing, his PGA TOUR card for the 2016-2017 PGA TOUR season
-Finished T-8 in his first PGA TOUR start of the 2016-2017 season at the Safeway Open
-Won his second start of the 2016-2017 season winning the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi
