I’m Tim Gamso and I will be writing a blog in the coming months leading up to the HP Byron Nelson Championship May 12-18, 2014. I have been around golf for many, many years as a competitive player, a tournament volunteer and a USGA Rules Official.
I am a Salesmanship Club member and a member of the USGA Mid Amateur Championship Committee. I have had numerous encounters with PGA TOUR professionals, top amateurs and international players. Over the years have I have learned a great deal about the players and their life on the road. I will be sharing my stories and observations with you, the fans. My hope is to offer you some insight into how the PGA Tour works and how the PGA TOUR player manages his year. It should be fun.
